QC Kinetix (Scottsdale) – An Overview

Regenerative medicine is a new field in which the goal is to replace damaged tissues and organs with healthy ones. It uses tissue engineering, cellular therapies, and medical devices to achieve this goal. Some examples of regenerative medicine include the engineering of artificial organs and the use of stem cells. Though regenerative medicine is still in its infancy, it has already captivated the scientific community with its promise for treating diseases and injuries affecting many organ systems. Unlike traditional surgery, regenerative medicine is a relatively new field that focuses on restoring organ and tissue function. The human body has a remarkable capacity to heal itself. Broken bones mend on their own, and a liver from a living donor regenerates in just a few weeks. However, chronic diseases like diabetes or heart failure can’t heal on their own and require medical treatment.
In some treatments, stem cells from a patient’s own fat, blood, or bone marrow are used to replace missing or damaged tissue. These cells are then collected, concentrated, and injected into the affected area. This allows the cells to grow and repair the damaged area without the use of invasive methods.
Most regenerative medicine procedures are non-invasive and painless. Patients will receive an injection of a numbing agent at the area to be treated. Afterwards, patients may experience some discomfort, but these symptoms should subside quickly. Most patients can return to work and regular activities after these treatments.
Regenerative medicine is a multidisciplinary field that applies science and engineering principles to the process of tissue regeneration. It has the potential to restore whole organs and replace diseased tissues. Currently, several regenerative therapies are approved by the FDA and are being studied in clinical and preclinical settings. In the near future, many of these therapies may enter the market.
